What is Pulse20™?
Pulse20™ is a monthly or quarterly subscription service developed by ESI Trends to help dealerships measure and manage employee engagement and retention.

Your Pulse20™ basic subscription includes:
- Initial “State-of-Retention” Report
When you sign up for Pulse20™, we collect payroll data to analyze your hiring and retention trends. We also conduct a Pulse20™ web-based employee survey, which covers five engagement indicators and 20 engagement drivers. Using payroll data and employee feedback, we will assess the State-of-Retention in your dealership and prioritize action items for your Management Team.
- Quarterly Turnover and Retention Tracking
We chart your annualized employee turnover and retention for key job titles and compare your performance to peer group norms.
ESI Trends conducts NADA’s annual Dealership Workforce Study, so we have access to all national, regional and franchise norms for employee retention and turnover by job title.
- Quarterly Employee Engagement Tracking
All of your employees will receive a five-question survey on a quarterly basis that covers key engagement indicators. The survey also gives them the opportunity to suggest ways you can make your dealership an awesome place to work.
- Monthly Employee Recognition Awards
Each month your employees will have an opportunity to nominate one or more of their colleagues for outstanding contributions to teamwork and customer service. Later they can vote for one or more of those nominated to receive recognition and/or an award.
- Semi-Annual Action Plans
After your initial “State-of-Retention” Report, you will receive Action Plan Recommendations every six months to help you improve your dealership’s work environment, your employer reputation and ultimately your profitability. Our recommendations will be based on your semi-annual Pulse20™ survey combined with other payroll data analysis.
